is specialized in offering security related jobs,
such as security guard or office administrator
and many more. When the company first asked for
our help, the goal was to create an interesting
website that would draw many users.
The Challenge
Internet is now filled with tones of job sites.
How could we create yet another job site, fresh
and new? Based on our previous experience, we
decided to use the same database structure as
before. But how could we make it easy to use
for applicants, employers and site managers?
The Solution
The first problem: simple, yet professional
design
The first problem to be approached was the design
and the layout. We chose a simple but professional
design. As for the layout, the right hand site
of the site is dedicated to the employers, the
left hand side to the applicants and the middle
to fast searches. That would ensure drawing the
potential users' attention.
Second problem: employers vs. applicants
For both the potential users (applicants
and employers), a very easy to use data base
system is the trick. The applicants need to be
able to find jobs fast, while the employers need
to post jobs that are easy to find. Hence, we
created a data base that is for employer's use
only, to be able to post jobs. We also use the
same data base to show the results for the searches
made by the applicants.
As opposed to other web
sites, the applicants can only search a job and
apply using the contact details provided by the
employer.
